Profile An experienced bid management professional with over 10 years' experience of developing competitive bids within the highly-regulated sectors for projects, frameworks and joint ventures in defence, civil nuclear, engineering and construction-related industries. APMP Practitioner, certified since 2015. Successful leadership of bids in a number of organisations and in collaboration with partner companies for projects in the UK and overseas. Experienced in the development of bid teams, processes and capability within different business settings. Enthusiastic and passionate approach to delivering satisfaction for customers, colleagues and internal stakeholders. A confident and engaging presenter with excellent communication skills. Adapts well to internal client processes and structures. Ability to coach and mentor client bid teams to develop a quality bid response. Good commercial knowledge and understanding gained from delivery of projects and bids. Sound approach to managing and interfacing with individuals, teams, clients and suppliers. Experience of defence, nuclear, batteries, life sciences, pharmaceutical, hi-tech and data centre sectors. Key Achievements Bid Management of a 5-year £300m+ Hard Facilities Management contract for key UK defence site. Leadership and management of £bn+ infrastructure framework bids for UK defence sector. Leadership of a UK consortium bid for £bn+ international civil nuclear plant. Development and enhancement of bid teams and bidding capability in different business settings. Experience Ability to lead a large complex bid, support the in-house Bid Lead or focus on specific tasks such as storyboarding and bid writing. Previously led consortium / joint venture bid teams for major framework opportunities - experienced in building an integrated bid team from consortium / joint venture partner company personnel and maintaining team spirit throughout the bid process. Familiar with public and defence procurement rules including Sole Source Contracting Regulations (SSCR). An experienced user of the NEC suite of contracts at the tendering, contract negotiation and delivery stages. Demonstrated ability to understand and work across a number of different technical areas, sectors and clients.
