Profile An experienced leader in both bidding and operational delivery with an all-round knowledge of the Bid to Mobilisation to BAU transition. Managed roads and civils multi-disciplinary teams in Local Government, Strategic Highways and Consulting, with recent experience in the consulting Rail sector. Also has experience of third-sector leadership as a Charity Chairman / Trustee. Key Achievements Winning Bid Director for the £240m North Lanarkshire Council Roads PPP contract. This was a unique PPP Joint Venture company (Council & Private Contractor) set up to deliver all roads and related maintenance for the Council over a 10 ½ year period. As the long-term incumbent provider, the re-bid was challenging. As Contract Director I successfully managed the "go-live" for the PPP which occurred during one of the worst winters ever experienced in central Scotland. Led the BAU bidding activity to secure the external growth targets for the North Lanarkshire PPP JV company and delivered annual turnover growth. Extensive experience of major bids for local government services, strategic Highways and Rail in both Scotland and England. MSP Foundation Level certified. Qualified to MBA level. Experience Over 30 years' experience of working in local government and private sector Highways organisations delivering operational maintenance contracts and major long-term bids; initially as a senior member of the bid teams progressing through to Bid Director.
