Profile Public Sector Bid / Business Development Consultant with over 15 years' strategic proposals leadership and bid management experience in the Health and Social Care Fields. Experienced in working on both client and provider sides and across Public, Private and Third sectors, enabling unique insight to best position solutions and proposals. APMP certified and available to work in either an advisory and expert support, pipeline development, or direct bid lead and writing roles. Key Achievements Drove organic growth of Boutique Children's Services Consultancy from £1m to £10m turnover within five years, broadening the scope to include adult social care and health, combined with diversifying the client portfolio. This involved designing and implementing new sales and proposals infrastructure and processes and leading all significant bids. Developed and drove the strategic diversification of an International Children's Social Care provider from a single service organisation into a provider of a portfolio of care services able to deliver pathways of care for clients and enable outsourcing of public services. Also led the organisation into outcomes-based contracting and won all three of its first bids for Social Impact Bond contracts, with the initial contract quoted as an exemplar by the Government Centre for Social Impact Bonds and the third receiving a 100% quality score from the client. Experience A former Strategic Development & Partnerships Executive Director for an International Children's Social Care service provider and Business Director of a Social Care and Health Consultancy, with experience across the whole bid lifecycle. Wide experience of developing and leading consortia, alliances and joint venture bids for local and central government contracts. Able to bring a broader range of sector experience to value proposition and bid development through complementary roles such as Non-Executive Director of a specialist Mental Health and Learning Disability NHS Trust, Governor of a University College, and Advisory Board member for the Rees Centre, University of Oxford. Also work with the Government Outcomes Lab, Blavatnik School of Government in contributing to their guide on procurement of outcomes-based contracts and delivery of seminars on commissioning for social impact.
