Profile Over five years' experience as a Telecoms / IT Bid Manager, backed up by eight years' project management experience. Experienced at teaming with sales for pre-RFP and post-submission work, and fully owning the process from bid decision to proposal submission. APMP Foundation and PMP project management qualifications, and retains active membership of APMP and PMI. Published author with strong writing and proofreading capabilities. Degrees in Mathematical Physics and Numerical Analysis, and the ability to rapidly pick up scientific / technical briefs. Key Achievements Proposals were always delivered to deadline, and wins ranged to £5m including a central Ethernet monitoring RFP from a global Telecoms company. Continually improved team processes and introduced APMP and ran SharePoint site. Managed 10-20 simultaneous bids up to £20m value. Experience Developed relationships with Sales Managers to efficiently manage a territory and ran global, virtual teams to deliver proposals to provide Telecoms / Network monitoring and Testing Solutions. Key elements were managing the technical team to define a solution, developing price models and financial spreadsheets and managing legal compliance and third-party negotiations. Facilitating consistent and well-written themed proposals from multiple international authors, and presenting for executive approval. Previously worked as a Project Manager specialising in custom solutions with projects based around Telecoms Software and associated services and support, and in parallel, acted as a Programme Manager for British Telecom projects. Earlier career was as a Support Manager for a VoIP product, a Software Engineer in Telecoms and in Mathematical Software, and as a Navigation Analyst in Seismic Exploration.
