Profile A successful and accomplished Business Development Lead with delivery experience within the Defence and Security market. Motivated and having successfully delivered winning propositions by shaping, planning and developing services and solutions for complex programmes. Key Achievements Managed a proposal budget in excess of £4m / year for a period of 4 years. Successfully bid complex MoD programme with a published budget of over £120m. Managed over 30 medium to large bid submissions many greater than £20m. Achieved annual revenue stream in excess of £25m. Led a multi-disciplinary bid / proposal team (12+ staff plus sub-contractors) to deliver consistent and high quality output achieving a win rate across all proposals in excess of 75%. Experience Over 35 years in the Defence and Security industry of which the last 20 have been across a range of project / programme management, business development and capture roles. These roles have required leadership of diverse teams to develop innovative and differentiated solutions that address the customer's key requirements at an acceptable price. Most recently at Director Level, responsible for large and long duration capture strategies and the resultant bid/proposal execution. This associate's professional training includes Aeronautical Engineering and Helicopter and Fixed Wing Pilot / Commander. Supports their practical skills with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and an MSc in Project Management. They have continued their professional development successfully completing and gaining experience in the use of PRINCE2, MSP, Shipley, and Predict! (Risk Management tool).
