Profile A Senior Bid Manager with 5 years + experience in developing, streamlining and managing the full bid lifecycle including creating compelling and winning responses and solutions to high value bids. Fully conversant with established bid management processes and hands on experience in designing and tailoring fast-track processes to meet varying business needs, including full training of bid teams and profitable business development. Key Achievements Improved win rate from 5% to 35% for 6 UK operating companies within a global support services business in 2 years, processing 250 bids per annum. Worked with consultants to create, specify and subsequently project-manage the evolution of a powerful IT platform for internal bid auditing which was used in UK, Australia, NZ and USA. Secured (via competitive tendering) in excess of £12m new revenue for UK support services business with turnover of £150m per annum and in addition sustained high retention rates (90%), portfolio growth, (125%) and profitability (ave:35%) on client portfolio. Experience An accomplished Bid / Commercial Manager with over 20 years of major contract wins and impressive portfolio growth for "blue chip" and AIMS registered companies. Uses commercial acumen to align the businesses to growth markets and sectors and profitable business development opportunities. Experienced in the following industries: Utility and Energy Market, Mail and Logistics, Hospitality, Soft FM and Third Sector with significant experience in responding to FM, Healthcare and Defence Bids.
