Profile Fifteen years' experience as a Bid Writer, Business Development Manager / Consultant and Operational Manager supporting business growth and achieving strategic objectives through successful procurement and delivery. Detailed understanding of local / national labour markets, government policy trends and industry sectors including: Education and Training, Employability and Skills, Welfare to Work, Offender Management, Careers Education / Guidance and Youth Support Services. Key Achievements Recently responsible for the co-ordination, research, writing & submission of 4 Big Lottery Bids and 7 SFA / ESF bids, value circa £30m. Responsible for co-ordination, research, writing and submission of 5 DWP Prime Contract (FND2 & CTF2) tenders with a combined contract value of circa £50m. Worked on the ACL Contracts (Birmingham CC, Staffordshire CC) (£250k) and increased the turnover of the company year on year from £348k in 2010 to circa £4m for the financial year 2015. Experience A confident negotiator able to support new business opportunities through developing effective links with partners, stakeholders and funding organisations. Plays a key role in achieving business development objectives at meetings, conferences and briefing events. Degree educated and numerate with a track record of producing high-quality EOI / PQQ / ITT documentation in response to opportunities released by various funders, local authorities and co-financing organisations. Experienced in identifying and assessing relevant opportunities and have a detailed knowledge of public sector procurement processes. Possess first-rate attention to detail and exceptional research and analytical skills. Able to distil complex data into key messages and produce information that is accessible and easily understood. Well-organised with strong project management skills and is at ease working independently and taking individual responsibility. Self-motivated and can use own initiative in dealing with competing demands to plan, prioritise and manage a complex workload, to tight deadlines, with no compromise on quality.
