Key Achievements Led winning bid to retain a key strategic multi-million pound deal for a global Insurance company. Successfully managed numerous large bid submissions between £50m to £2bn in to multiple industries. Bid win-rate consistently over 70%. Successfully implemented a proposal improvement programme within a major bank delivering efficiencies and enabling the team to double their capacity of bids and thereby support many more areas of the business globally. APMP Professional Certified. Experience Previously led a leading Insurance firm's Strategic Bid function, heading up a 12-strong team managing UK and global bids valued from £1m to £2bn. The team handled an average of 35 bids at any given time, achieving a win rate in excess of 75%. Managing these bids required the team to interface with all levels in the organisation up to Group / Board level. As well as leading the team, a key responsibility was working with the Executive / Senior Leadership Team on strategic opportunities, early in the sales pursuit process to challenge and qualify their relationship / win strategies, identify gaps and agree actions plans to address. Prior to working in bids and proposals, this associate was in customer sales and services leadership roles within the Utilities and Insurance sectors from 1994 to 2006. This involved leading operational centres with up to 650 staff in the UK and India and included successful project management of large-scale migrations of work within that time. Every team / unit / department went on to outperform.
