Bid Manager - Senior

Profile A senior bid management professional with a history of delivering winning proposals into broadcast, media and entertainment market. Scope of experience ranges from direct production of the proposal to leading multi-disciplined teams through numerous consultancy, technical and managed services submissions. This Associate is sales focused and brings a strong strategic view to business opportunities - shaping the win strategy, managing risks, maximising rewards and realisation of customer business goals. A thorough yet creative approach to contractual and commercial negotiations. Firm appreciation of current technology (cloud services/SaaS), business models and operational trends Key Achievements Direct management of winning bids with total sales value in excess of 150m across Europe and Middle East Highest single project win 52m (bid director) with projects ranging from 100k upwards. Leading bid team to overall win value of 250m - in capacity of Head of Bid Management role. Increased project profitability with 100% attachment of support contracts to IT based projects. Process development - embedding into salesforce CRM environment providing faster approvals, greater consistency, more dynamic reporting and full audit trail of bids. Contributed to increasing win rate by 20%. Sales and marketing roles to director level - consistent growth in software products and services revenues/profit. Experience Over 25 years' experience in bid management, sales, business development, marketing and technology - both in global supply and sourcing organisations. This Associate has held key roles, to director level - in blue chip organisations where they have been able to contribute to business success and drive best practice. Has built, developed and managed successful teams including large project specific virtual teams. Expert in the management of full proposal lifecycle activities - including pre-sales, capture planning, qualification, proposal production, presentation and contracts (sales, supplier and partner agreements). Scope of projects in broadcast and media has included full "greenfield" technical fit-outs, cloud services for live and file-based production, media asset management, playout, VOD/OTT and archive. Educated to graduate level with relevant qualifications - APMP, PRINCE2, skilled negotiation, agile project management and consultative selling. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
