Profile This Associate is a positive and proactive professional with experience of leading complex bids both in the UK and internationally. Their career profile to date demonstrates a proven track record of winning work and contributing to the growth and success of organisations. After starting their career as a Bid Writer, they have progressed to more senior bid management and director roles where their key skills include project managing bids and providing strategic leadership and direction to bid teams on single entity, consortium and joint venture bids. Key Achievements They have managed in excess of 100 bids and recent successes include an £86m contract for a Social Housing client, a £4m contract for a high-profile client in the UK nuclear defence sector and a £10m framework providing cutting edge scientific research and technology to the UK government. They have also led a bid supporting the strategic diversification of services for an education and training provider to broaden and expand their existing portfolio. Cleared to SC level, they have experience of managing bids and handling classified information in full compliance with the UK Government Security Classifications Policy. Experience This Associates key responsibilities have included; leading the development, planning and implementation of bid strategies, managing bid programmes, resources and budgets, facilitating solution design and development, working closely with financial / resource / operational modellers, bid governance, direct reporting to board members and executive teams, risk / opportunity management, leadership of key workstreams, stakeholder management - leading collaborative working between teams of internal and external stakeholders, bid writing and coordinating teams of bid writers, bid review , information management and data analysis. They have a good management level understanding of core business areas covering finance, commercial / legal, operations management, strategic management, human resourcing, marketing and communications after completing an MBA with Leeds University Business School. The MBA complements a career spanning 18 years spent working on bids across a broad range of sectors including Justice, Nuclear (Civil and Defence), Housing, Pharmaceutical, Voluntary, Healthcare and Education with private sector clients and government departments and bodies such as the Ministry of Justice, BEIS and AWE.
