Profile Over 20 years' experience in bid management and leading international projects and programmes. Significant experience of managing bids and delivering projects in complex and challenging environments, in the Arabian Gulf, in the Public Sector, in FTSE100 companies, small businesses offering professional services and charities. Brings with them the ability to tailor and apply Shipley Bid Management and PRINCE2 Project Management methodologies to suit client delivery environments. Key Achievements A former Bid Director for FTSE 100 companies, led, managed and won the £4m Oman Rail Centre of Excellence tender. Successfully mobilised the contract, moved to Oman and delivered against target for the Phase 1 Human Capital Development deliverables. Led and managed the United Arab Emirates Higher Colleges of Technology digital foundations programme. Coordinated the delivery and roll-out of an iOS iPad-based English language teaching app which was Gulf-specific. Provided capture support for clients to articulate solutions. Led and co-authored the successful bids for the $0.5bn Colleges of Excellence submission. Re-located to Saudi Arabia to mobilise three vocational colleges. Most recent work in providing interim bid support to small and medium-sized enterprises and charities, and coaching bid teams to deliver client presentations. Experience A credible Project and Programme Manager able to simplify complex bid requirements, build a team to capture requirements, develop solutions and translate them into proposals. Provides friendly, robust and professional challenge to ensure deliverability and realism. Able to lead several bids or proposals at once, planning, resourcing and setting up appropriate governance and review. Has an eye for detail, accuracy and is a skilled proofreader and editor and frequently develops marketing and sales collateral. Has a calm, common sense approach.
