With a win rate well above the industry average, this Associate is one of the very best at what they do, having worked almost exclusively on complex, novel, first-of-a-kind bids within challenging and highly regulated environments. Possess the well-rounded business acumen needed to lead and challenge all aspects of a bid including strategy setting, capture planning, value proposition development, bid writing, commercial, technical solutions, project management, procurement, planning, cost modelling, risk management, graphic design, pricing, senior level customer / internal stakeholder presentations and negotiation. Key Achievements Successful business consultation to new / existing businesses looking to expand into new markets or improve their current win rates. Consistently ranked as a 'high-performer' for four years straight (an accolade reserved only for the top 5% of employees). Head of Department that secured a nuclear order book of £200m+ in just 2 years and grew the business from <£5m turnover in 2014 to >£30m in 2018. Improved bid win rates in a business from 40% (at time of starting) to 75% in 2015 and a business record of 95% in 2016. Experience Over 13 years of holding senior bidding positions for several FTSE 100 companies in the defence, nuclear and construction markets. Creating and leading bid teams in excess of 30 full-time team members, bidding into large private and public bodies. Implemented business winning processes across large business units from strategy setting, marketing, business development, bidding, contract negotiation to contract delivery. They have successfully developed new innovative tools and processes with training to improve the repeatability of success for every business they have worked with. Most recently, they provided consultation to setup a business winning capability for a brand-new Rolls-Royce Innovation & Future Programmes division, with the goal to focus on the development and selling of innovative products / services into new competitive target markets. Possessing advanced IT skills and also APMP certified with senior management board experience having shared responsibility for over 300 staff across multiple sites.
