Profile Experienced Bid Leader with the capability of working in detail with all members of the bid team (and covering for them as required) including commercial, sales / account management, legal, delivery, service management, marketing, HR and technical, Main experience is in IT Services (Outsourcing in particular, including TUPE transfer) and Telecoms (WAN, LAN and Mobile). Comfortable leading large new-business bids as well as re-sign / renewal opportunities always with a focus on accuracy and quality - and getting the bid out the door, finished and on time. Key Achievements Led £multi-million Telecoms outsourcing bids across Europe and globally (WAN, LAN and Mobile). Managed a number of large global mobile Telecoms bids (typically 20+ countries, 10,000 - 30,000 mobile connections). Worked in a team of two to win an outsourcing bid to acquire a datacentre operation in the UK for a major North American IT Services Company which required many "hats" to be worn. Continued to work to develop the UK IT Outsourcing service based on the datacentre. APMP Foundation qualified (nominated for an award at an annual APMP conference in London). Experience Over 25 years' experience of leading winning bid teams and has managed global virtual bid teams with over 30 members in 25 countries. An experienced professional happy to deal with and negotiating at CEO Level and downwards to operational staff and management; often seen as a trusted partner both internally and within the customer organisation. Well regarded as the reasonable internal arbiter when conflict between finance, legal, commercial, service and product needs managing through governance to get the deal signed off. Takes responsibility to get the bid to the customer. Background in voice and data networking stretching back over 40 years, first as a customer and then as a supplier and provided managed IT and Telecom services for the last 30 years. Experienced in working in Financial Services, Government and general industrial sectors including Manufacturing, Pharma and Utilities.
