Job Description

A major financial services firm in London is seeking a Pursuit Manager to join their team. The role will involve managing the bid process and promoting best practice throughout the organisation. This is a key role for the business that will hold responsibility for some of the most important bids.

Key Responsibilities:
° Building your network across the firm to understand the pipeline and identify the right opportunities to support.
° Managing high performing teams and ensure all team members are bought in to the agreed approach. Supporting the lead partner to identify and mitigate key bid & pursuit risks
° Work with the lead partner and client team to develop and implement the bid or pursuit engagement plan & strategy, ensuring teams are fully prepared for all meetings with the client to ensure we use the available time effectively
° Facilitating and contributing to the qualification and win strategy development process
° Development of winning value propositions in consultation with the client delivery teams
° Working with the client team to create proposal storyboards and response structures and ensure content is allocated to specific individuals as appropriate
° Organising and facilitation of all meetings and workshops, holding people to account for their respective areas of responsibility.
° Managing relationships with the design team, influencing artwork creation

Key Skills / Experience:
° Degree or relevant professional qualification
° Experience of relationship based selling methodologies
° Experience of coaching others to maximise win rates
° Ability to work as part of a team and lead where needed
° Gathers information from a wide variety of sources, as needed, ensuring it is correct and comprehensive
° Asks relevant questions to obtain clarity on key issues; proposes recommendations for process improvements drawing on own work experience
° Uses skills to understand problems, identify solutions and influences others to agree best next steps
° Excellent verbal and written skills, good planning and prioritising skills.
° Self-motivated, able to apply relevant skills to new scenarios.
