Job Description

A major financial software organisation is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its team. The Proposal Writer will extend the impact of the proposals function through writing-wizardry, continual experimentation and resourceful content management. You will play a pivotal role in preparing the function for huge growth and scale by systemising processes, bringing best practice and evolving your own novel ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Account Executive and Solution Consultant to identify, elevate and record the value proposition
• In addition to RFx proposals, proactive commercial proposals, value cases and renewal proposals will also be produced.
• Build domain and product knowledge so that the writing has credibility, accuracy and confidence
• Contribute to projects that raise the standard of semi-automated work so that the human effort brings the maximum value
• Support the definition and documentation of methods and processes
• Be attenuated to metrics and seek ways to raise standards and outcomes
• Build market expertise in a specific vertical and disseminate that knowledge
• Build competitor intelligence and disseminate that knowledge
• Create new and maintain existing content for reusable knowledge databases
• Coach sales and solution / SME teams in writing best practice
• Lead storyboarding sessions and winning workshops
• Writing with brevity, impact, sincerity, intent and warmth
• Tailor messaging for specific people, personas, purposes and markets
• Distil concepts into graphics and/or themes
• Identify and help eliminate barriers to customer buying journeys
• Build a personal market presence (e.g. via LinkedIn, APMP events, etc)
