Opcare is seeking a senior level Bid Director to join its successful team.
Opcare, part of the international healthcare company Ability Matters Group, is one of the largest suppliers of artificial limb, orthotic, and posture and mobility services to the NHS in England. The main responsibility for this position is to drive the success of the bidding function, ensuring a high percentage of success.
We require someone forward thinking, who can proactively improve current content, and work with the Bid Manager to ensure ITT responses are delivered on time.
” Ensure that all bid documents are submitted to a high quality
” Leading the bid team
” Objectively appraising tender submissions, adding and editing information as necessary in order to structure effective responses
” Establishing an optimal bid process and content library
” Planning key stages of individual tender projects and allocating appropriate deadlines with follow ups
” Analysing all tenders and tender questions to identify potential improvements and ensure ongoing success
” Pro-actively identifying and championing improvement projects which will ensure that the business can respond and can score highly in Tender responses
” Liaising with internal departments and operational teams such as Clinical, Sales, Marketing, Finance to drive proactive improvement projects
” Build a forward picture of up and coming Contracts which are likely to come out to tender. Identify strong targets and build appropriate pre-Tender plans which will allow us to strengthen our chances when tendering
Skills & Personal Attributes
The position requires the job holder to possess:
” Experience in UK Public Sector in both writing and delivering successful tenders
” High level of written and spoken English
” Ability to communicate complex issues and to creatively problem solve
” Leads successful teams in a proactive manner
” Tender experience in the UK, ideally with an understanding of NHS frameworks
