Proudfoot is recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager to take the lead in managing the creation of formal and informal proposals, working with their Subject Matter Specialists and Sales Teams on a global basis. Candidates must be highly skilled in proposal writing (both creating content and editing content provided by others) as well as experienced in bid management.

Knowledge of topics including Operational Excellence, Supply Chain Optimization and Change Management, either from working in management consulting or industry, would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will work globally across all industry sectors, geographies and consulting service lines. Due to the global nature of the role, work will be primarily from home, with the option of working from their London office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Champion the entire RFP and proposal process from initial opportunity to delivery of high-quality proposals
o Take responsibility for writing and editing across a variety of proposal formats (RFPs, RFIs, PowerPoint presentations etc.)
o Coordinate proposal creation to ensure high quality concise and persuasive proposals are delivered on time and in full
o Collaborate with subject matter specialists and senior management to solidify content
o Work with graphics department to improve creativity
o Coordinate and facilitate kick off meetings to help qualify opportunities, agree the win themes, define the program of work, structure the proposal and pitch, refine resource requirements, and plan client relationship activities throughout the proposal process
o Ensure full compliance to RFP and proposal process guidelines
o Manage win/loss debriefings and ensure that lessons learned are appropriately captured and communicated
o Establish and maintain a comprehensive response database
o Research and share best practice on written documents, presentations and other deliverables to help proposal teams increase win probability

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor’s degree
o Experience in proposal/bid writing and coordination, ideally trained/certified e.g. APMP, Shipley
o Excellent persuasive writing skills
o English as first language is essential (French, Spanish, German or Russian as second language also of interest)
o Experience in management consulting, ideally for a firm providing some or all of the following services: change management, program management, operational excellence (Lean, Continuous Improvement), supply chain optimization
o Superior time management with attention to detail
o Demonstrated ability to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines
o Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks
