Bid & Proposal Manager

Seeking an experienced Bid & Proposal Manager to work for our client, who provide Housing Management Software & Digital Solutions to social housing providers within the UK. In this role you will be the sole Bid & Proposal Manager leading the bid process from start to finish. Working closely with the Sales and Technical Team to produce winning submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Help improve our win rate with compliant, compelling bids
• End-to-End management of the bid process -planning, qualification, development and delivery for bids and proposals
• Manage and facilitate bid governance (lead on Contract Committee calls) risks and issues, hold Bid Kick Off meetings and ensure the development of effective win strategies and win themes
• Monitor tender notification services to identify opportunities on relevant frameworks in collaboration with Sales
• Plan, write and co co-ordinate bid responses, reviewing submissions against client requirements for accuracy and quality
• Completion and submission of bids (review, format and upload) to client timescales and secure sign-offs for submission
• Maintain records of bid submissions and build a comprehensive bid library by building strong relationships with bid contributors and decision makers
• Maintain a high level of market intelligence, awareness of legislative requirements and best practice
• Seek feedback on successful and unsuccessful bids and ensure lessons are learned for future bids
• Representing the business and gather client / contract information at external events e.g. bidder days
• For won business, liaise with internal stakeholders and handover to relevant sections of the
business
• Develop and deliver bid training to relevant staff and share best practice with other Bid Managers

Qualifications / Personal Skill Set:
• Excellent communication and presenting skills (written and oral)
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
• Creative writing to produce high quality, compelling bid documents
• Highly organised and deadline focused

Technical Skill Set:
• Proven track record of successful bid writing and bid management
• Public Sector Bidding experience
• Understanding of relevant procurement frameworks
• Experience of bidding software and SaaS solutions is preferred
• Sound Project Management and stakeholder management
• Expert skills using standard Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as MS Teams

Desirable Skill Set:
• APMP certification preferred
• Experience of Housing Sector
