Bid Manager
Based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne / Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

New opportunity for an experience Bid Manager to join an established bid team within a leading energy company.

As Bid Manager you will be reporting into the Work Winning Lead and managing bids from start to finish. This will include supporting the delivery of planned growth targets across the division through the effective management of bids, managing bid creation and delivery. Working closely with the wider Energy Division operational teams to grow the businesses in line with the agreed Business Plan will be a key part of your role.

What you will bring to the role…
Essential
• Considerable experience in tender / bid management as well as bid writing, preferably within a bid management function
• Proven track record of delivering successful tenders achieving sales / BD targets
• Ability to operate within a professional team environment, co-ordinating the activities of multiple functions to provide input to specific bids / tenders that meet high level quality expectations
• Able to win new contracts with new customers and renew / extend existing contracts on advantageous terms
• Develop new products and services to meet the needs of their markets
• Increase the pipeline of addressable opportunities within their markets
• Advanced MS Word skills and proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to write clearly and concisely for readers who are busy or distracted
• Strong written English language skills
• Extensive experience pf producing visual collateral that conveys quality and professionalism
• Able to travel when required

Desirable
• Knowledge, previous experience and network within the utilities sector
• Analytical skills
• Robust skills with “InDesign” graphic design software
• Certified to APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level
