Rick is the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP®) – the association for more than 12,200+ bid, proposal, capture, business development and graphics professionals globally. He is a 30+ year association professional and is passionately committed to growing industries he serves including the bid and proposal industry.

He is a respected association executive in the Washington, DC USA area and well-known in his field for turning around failing associations or growing small professional or trade associations into larger and stronger organizations. He believes in managing non-profit organizations like for profit companies to promote faster industry growth. He believes this management style allows non-profits to quickly expand so the association can support its members with increased education, bigger events, and more certification.

A marketing professional by trade, Rick started with APMP in 2011 and has grown membership from 3,300 to 12,200+ members to date by expanding into new markets — a 293% increase over 12 years. The growth is attributed to expanding into new international markets, welcoming adjacent roles into APMP, adding dozens of education opportunities and two new conferences including BPC Europe™ and BPC Asia™.

He is also the host of the popular monthly webinar series called APMP’s Power Half Hour where he interviews professionals who are passionate about winning and retaining business.
