Kat is the Research Director for Strategic Proposals. Having set up bid teams and worked across Telecomms, IT, Financial Services and Service Management, she is experienced in the world of sales and bidding across multiple sectors.

Kat has successfully defined and implemented best practice processes whilst being responsible for recruitment, management and motivation of staff within bid teams. She has driven the transformation of teams with the ability to create a mission statement for the team and strategically deliver against that mission.

She has worked in and with sales, marketing, commercial and technical divisions and has a calm ability to multitask in many demanding situations, whilst delivering thoroughness and reliability. In all her bid centre roles she has significantly increased win rates and improved efficiencies.

Kat is an APMP fellow, one of only a small number across the globe and also holds APMP Professional status.

Never satisfied with the status quo, Kat continually drives for improvements in herself and her team and has researched, identified, championed and applied best practice from an initial focus on sales and bid management out across the broader organisation.

Kat has worked flexibly since the birth of her first child, in 2005. Arriving at just 28 weeks Kat’s first daughter was a bit of a surprise and had multiple issues meaning Kat had to learn to juggle and balance work and other commitments. The need to be flexible has never been more apparent as Kat now lives in rural Kent with her husband and their two girls. Kat had a life changing Stroke in 2017 that few would have survived. Fortunately she awoke from her coma but is partially sighted and left with residual stroke disabilities. She is however cognitively sound and as optimistic, headstrong and intelligent as she always was! She continues to be highly respected as a thought leader in the proposal profession and has a track record of outstandingly successful achievement in winning business.
