Bid & Proposal Management was a change in direction for Emma, inspired after completing the CIM Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing, after 15 years in operational roles in the leisure travel industry. Since 2001, she established a wealth of proposal management experience and skills in the corporate travel management sector with Hogg Robinson Group (HRG). During this time, Emma completed the APMP Foundation accreditation (2007) and Practitioner level (2008), and supported all of her team in gaining APMP accreditation.
In 2018, HRG was acquired by long-time competitor, American Express Global Business Travel (GBT), which created an opportunity to change and diversify her role. She is now a Director in the GBT Global Sales Enablement team, working on wide-ranging Field Effectiveness initiatives and communications. This involves helping a worldwide team of around 1,500 sales managers, client account managers and commercial leaders in being, well, more effective in their roles of winning and retaining clients!
