Bid Manager

Profile Highly experienced, successful and dynamic bid leader and writer, comfortable working independently or within multi-stakeholder teams, in structured or agile environments. Proven record across Government, Third and Disparate Commercial Markets. Particular expertise in Public Sector and in devising and articulating innovative win strategies and solutions that exceed tender specifications by discovering and leveraging insights beyond documented information. Key Achievements Capturing £25m p.a. of new contract revenue for an NFP (equivalent to turnover). Winning bids for £multimillion contracts to design, build and operate bespoke, complex, secure multichannel contact, transaction and data management solutions. Launch of the UK's largest new national charity. Managing 80+ bids for public sector contracts (up to £25m each), including 100% win rate in competitive retenders for existing contracts. Driving a programme of bid content, process and skills transformation in a major logistics business, doubling win rate to 60% in under 6 months. APMP Foundation Level Accreditation. Experience With a 25 + year record delivering winning bids across diverse environments and markets including Health, Education, Crime, IT, Retail, Logistics, Finance, Automotive and Fundraising. Background in complete business development from strategy / planning through prospecting / networking / nurturing to proposal / negotiation / close. Deep appreciation of full sales process, notably the value of developing close relationships and insight to formulate optimal win strategies.
