Profile An experienced Senior Bid and Contracts Manager, with a successful track record in producing value solutions and winning proposals. Provided procurement consultancy to awarding authorities with regards to opportunities, how to tender, contract options, requirement specifications, assessment of solutions, through to contract negotiations and final awards. This combined experience allows them to have a complete understanding of the requirements and processes needed to bid successfully in today's market place. Key Achievements In the last 2 years secured competitive contracts in excess of £9.5m. Won a 10 year IT support contract, extended the scope of work, increasing the initial value by over 50%. Working closely with the customer and end users to create an efficient contract with the flexibility to increase the technical scope without repeat competition. Won and negotiated a 5 year plus 2 Industry Strategic Partnership Projects working with the UKTI and MoD. Designed the concept and wrote all the documentation, including business operational models and Command and Control Work Flows. Taking it through to project implementation. Potential savings and income generation £5m plus in three years. Identified potential savings and efficiencies of £3.5m over a 3-4 year lifecycle. Bid managed, successfully won and project implemented new and repeat contracts, ranging in value from £100k to over £70m. A comprehensive and applied knowledge of the new European Procurement Legislation. Experience Over 10 years' experience in OJEU Procurement in public and commercial sectors and volunteer experience at managerial board level for Charities and Not-for-Profit Organisations. Including analytical research skills combined with high-quality report and bid / copy writing, creating and running bid writing courses for Project Managers, Engineers and Writers. Development of cross government relationships with industry; including strategic collaboration and business development and client focused approach to through-life contract management. Varied portfolio that includes: European Procurement Legislation; Public Sector, Defence and Security, IT Software and Hardware, Scientific Research, Pharmaceuticals, Business Operational Studies and Services and Manufacturing.
